Men Get Turned Off by These Three Fatal Topics – Avoid Talking About These
Have you ever been in the midst of what seemed like a great conversation with a guy, but then his eyes glazed over and you knew you’d said something to turn him off? Have you tried to analyze what you say, but you can’t find what’s wrong? Are you afraid to say anything anymore because you might say something that’ll have him running? While there are many things that can turn a guy off, here are the top three.
It’s unfortunate that guys won’t bother telling you themselves what’s bothering them. In situations like this they prefer to just back off. Before you choose to berate them for this, remember the way you reacted the last time a guy criticized you. Chances are you weren’t too receptive and you probably got angry with him. That’s why guys just don’t bother.
But if they bothered to tell you, they would probably say to lay off the ex-boyfriend. Whether he was the coolest guy ever and you really, really miss him, or he was the biggest jerk ever and you wish he was dead, this new guy doesn’t really want to hear about it. Find someone else to reminisce with and keep the conversation with your new guy fresh and interesting.
They’re also not too keen about hearing you mention how badly you want to become involved in a serious relationship. Even if he’s looking for the same thing, the enormous pressure this can put on him is virtually intolerable. He’ll feel you’re scrutinizing him too much and suddenly the fun conversation he was having with you has become stressful and unpleasant. Give him a chance and get to know him before divulging your future plans for him.
And finally, money. You might be proud of the great promotion you just had and the fabulous six figure salary that goes with it, but bringing this up can make you look petty and somewhat pompous. On the flip side, asking about the salary that he makes is a definitely wrong move to make.
Though you might rationalize that you just don’t want to get stuck with a lowlife bum, bringing up this topic is never a good idea. It’ll make you look like a cheap gold digger. Let time show you what he’s made of. Over time you’ll learn a bit about his finances and you can judge whether he’s worthy of your attention or not.
Remember, if he just wants to win you over, he’ll just lie to you anyway, so you might as well zip it.
Stay away from these topics and you’ll have a far slimmer chance of turning guys off in your future conversations.
